Greetings from Tata-Dhan Academy

Tata-Dhan Academy is a development school, offers two-year post graduate diploma in development management, shortly called PDM for young graduates and facilitates them to take up career in the development field particularly in NGO's with direct grassroots action. Similarly, the Academy offers short duration education programmes on various themes such as Micro finance, Micro insurance, enterprise development, social research, leadership , HRD, development management and disaster risk management for the practitioners working in the development sector. The Academy was promoted by DHAN Foundation, an internationally reputed, professional organization has been doing intensive works on community based microfinance and water for poverty reduction in India.

The Academy conducts an International Course on "Advanced Reflective Education and Training (ART) on development finance, micro insurance and business development" for poverty reduction every year during the first fortnight of December. This year, it has been scheduled  during December 1-13, 2008 at Madurai, Tamilnadu, India.

Since your network supports other microfinance organisations in East and South Africa, we would like to seek your support and facilitation to reach out the organisations and encourage their participation in the ART Course.  You can sponsor the program managers to participate in the course to learn community based microfinance from different countries experiences. The course involves intensive classroom learning and extensive field visits to learn from the communities.
